ROYAL SEAL

Water leakage is a very common and widely observed problem in buildings. Water leakage can be due to several reasons, like porosities. Honeycombs, Cavitation, Capillary channels, Bad Workmanship, etc. This further leads to cracks in the plaster or concrete through which water can travel and gradually damage the building. Repair the damaged surface and fill all cracks with AFKOSE SIX LAYERED CRACK FILLER

Description

Application of AFKOSE Elastomeric Membrane

Once the cracks are filled and the surface is prepared, apply the elastomeric membrane. It will penetrate deep inside the pores and create an elastomeric film over it, which prevents the water entry completely.

Application of Fibre Mesh

After applying the Elastomeric Membrane, the surface will be covered with Fibre Glass Mesh. A second coat of Elastomeric Membrane is applied uniformly. Fibre glass mesh provides strength to the water proofing due to its high tensile strength and alkali resistance.

Application of Waterproofing Compound and Silicone-Based Water Repellent

Applying Two-Coat Waterproofing Compound with brush and putty blade, covering all fibreglass mesh after the compound is applied and using Silicone-based Water Repellent Coating. This coating helps us to control algae formation for three years.

The Benefits of Gel-Based Nano Waterproofing

Unlike other coating films, nanotechnology-based water repellent Elastomeric Membrane does not seal the pores at the surface of concrete, but penetrates into the pores and forms a very thin layer (nano layer) on the pore walls. These pores are no longer wetted by water, and the capillary uptake of water is prevented. Water can no longer penetrate inside through capillaries, as water is a polar liquid and it cannot reach a non-polar hydrophobic surface. Untreated surfaces of buildings are wetted immediately by water. In other words, drops of water spread out and are rapidly absorbed by building materials. On the surface treated with elastomeric membrane, the drop of water is repelled and stands in the form of a bead and does not penetrate inside. The pores on the surface may vary from 5 to 200. But the size of the elastomeric membrane is 4-6 nm (0.005 microns). Conventional water repellents give only short-term protection by forming a surface film. Long-term protection is possible only by nano-sized water repellents that penetrate up to 4-5 mm into the surface, providing capillary coating. The life expectancy of the coatings is 15+ years.
